New Roles for Daniel Rowlands and Mandy Davenport, Operations and Marketing Hires in Singapore
SINGAPORE – July 8, 2016 – Video inventory management platform, SpotX, today announced key people moves in Asia Pacific, with new hires in Singapore and staff relocations to bolster growth in Asia.
Daniel Rowlands has been promoted to Senior Director of Supply, JAPAC, and has relocated from Sydney to Singapore. Also appointed in Singapore are newly hired Senior Operations Director, Alvin Ling, and Senior Marketing Manager, Karen Tan. Mandy Davenport has been promoted to Senior Marketing Director, JAPAC, and will remain based in Sydney.
The moves follow the appointment of new Managing Director for the region, Marcus Tan, earlier in the year.
Tan said: “It has been a busy but rewarding first half of the year, with several new premium publishers, like Mediacorp and Gameloft, signed in Asia. We are growing quickly and are building a great team in the region to lead our growth in both new and established markets.”
Rowlands added: “It is the perfect time and opportunity to be relocating to Singapore to capitalise on the movement we are seeing from SEA publishers into programmatic video.”
The company’s JAPAC leadership team will now include Marcus Tan, Daniel Rowlands, Mandy Davenport, Alvin Ling, Al Jensen and Christopher Blok, who has been promoted to Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand. The team will drive the company’s expansion into new countries – Indonesia, India, Philippines, Malaysia, China, Korea and Japan – and programmatic TV in the region.
Rowlands previously worked at Mi9 and is a member of the IAB Video Council. Ling previously consulted for SAP XM, led product strategy for Affle and was a senior member of the global operations team at Smaato. Karen Tan joins the company after roles at AllianceBernstein and Unit Trust of India (UTI) International Limited.
“I’m excited to join the JAPAC leadership team and to help grow operations as we expand into the region at a time of explosive growth,” Ling said, commenting on his appointment. “Digital media consumption is growing at an exponential rate across all screens, and digital video advertising is set to overtake banner advertising in the next three years.”
