Last month, SpotX hosted a panel at Advertising Week Asia (#AWAsia) in Tokyo leading a discussion titled “Rethinking TV (Total Video),” with Microsoft Casual Games, Lotame, Kiosked, Fivehangouts and Former Head of Communications at Cartier in Japan.
The panel brought together thought leaders in video from US, Asia Pacific as well as local leaders in the Japanese market with a goal of arriving at common understanding around TV and video consumption habits and the opportunities around digital video monetization in the Japanese market.
‘Opportunity’ was the common theme across all the topics discussed, from targeting and data to shifting consumption habits which will drive revenue for digital video. It is clear that Tokyo and Japan, often touted for tech-centric views, is ripe the next era of Total Video. Also covered on the panel was the question of infrastructure and emphasizing the need for tools that allow for seamless monetization, and in turn user experience, across all devices.
This week we’ll bring thought leadership to ATS Singapore with Chris Blok speaking on a panel on “The Rise of Programmatic TV” on July 4th, along with VP of International Alex Merwin speaking in Hong Kong on July 6th at APOS tech on a panel on “Advertising 3.0.”
