Recently, SpotX’s VP of International, Alex Merwin, participated in a fireside chat at APOS tech in Hong Kong. APOS tech is an invite only event and attendees are generally C-Suite level executives from premium broadcasters and telcos from across the Asian region.

The event discussed the uniqueness of Asia and the challenges that telcos and OTT operators are currently facing in the region. The panel participants reiterated that content is king and transparency is critical is for both media owners and publishers to monetize OTT content in the region.

Merwin also spoke about SpotX’s newly launched Advanced Solutions Group led by Allen Klosowski, a consulting business arm of SpotX that has been created to address the challenges that large-scale media owners faces when it comes to (linear) addressable media.
