New Roles for Christopher Blok and Daniel Rowlands, Operations and Marketing Hires in Singapore
SYDNEY – July 8, 2016 – Video inventory management platform SpotX has promoted Christopher Blok to the role of Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand, and made key hires and relocation to boost its operations in Asia.
Blok’s new role coincides with the promotion of Daniel Rowlands to Senior Director of Supply, JAPAC, and his relocation to Singapore, and the promotion of Mandy Davenport to Senior Marketing Director, JAPAC.
SpotX’s Singapore office also added a Senior Operations Director – Alvin Ling – and a Senior Marketing Manager – Karen Tan – to its ranks. The moves follow the appointment of new Managing Director for the region, Marcus Tan, earlier in the year.
Tan said: “It has been a busy but rewarding first half of the year, with several new publishers, like Mediacorp and Gameloft, signed in Asia. We are growing quickly and are building a great team in the region to lead our growth in established markets and expansion into new Asian markets.”
Commenting on his new role, Blok said: “It is an exciting opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities for the SpotX business in Australia & New Zealand. The new focus reflects both our commitment to growing the more developed markets of Australia and New Zealand, while expanding our footprint in rest of Asia.”
Rowlands added: “It is the perfect time and opportunity to be relocating to Singapore to capitalise on the movement we are seeing from SEA publishers into programmatic video.”
The company’s JAPAC leadership team will now include Marcus Tan, Christopher Blok, Daniel Rowlands, Alvin Ling, Al Jensen and Mandy Davenport. The team will drive the company’s expansion into new countries – Indonesia, India, Philippines, Malaysia, China, Korea and Japan – and programmatic TV in the region.
Blok previously worked for Brandscreen, News Digital Media, Eye Corp (oOh!) and Mindshare. He is a co-organiser of AdTech Meetup Sydney. Ling previously consulted for SAP XM, led product strategy for Affle and was a senior member of the global operations team at Smaato. Karen Tan joins the company from Unit Trust of India (UTI) International Limited.
